Eckla Multi Rolly Gear Cart
There are two different styles of Gear Carts by Eckla that are available at Outdoor Photo Gear. Chris Klapheke sent me both to look at and I am going to be testing them both before deciding on which one I want. Since they are both very well made it will just come down to which one suits my needs more. I will be adding the Multi-holding bar shown at the bottom of the page to whichever one I decide to go with. The best thing is that the carts are both light weight and fold easily to fit in my car.
This durable multi-function cart with all-terrain tires is very versatile and can go where you need it to go; whether it’s over rough terrain or sandy beaches let this cart carry your gear instead of humping it on your shoulders or back! This model comes fully loaded with gear pouches, hooks, no slip grip handles and even a fold-down shooting seat.

This Beach Rolly Gear Cart has a much simpler design and may actually be the one I go with. I like the side covers. There is also the Eckla Fold Out Cargo Bar which can be added to the cart. This model also comes with the no-slip grips and the all-terrain tires that I like so much. I will have to test it out in the field to make sure it can hold all my gear including my tripod but it looks like it will without a problem. I have some ideas about tricking this cart out and I will share those with you when I get them all in place.

I will be accessorizing my cart and taking pictures of it to show you how I use it. The cart that I am using now is not very good, the tires stink, they can’t make it up and down trails or into the woods or on the beach. This will be a huge improvement and I can’t wait to add my gadgets and gear.

Hey Denise, I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts after testing. Did he send you the cargo net thing? If not, you might ask for it.
Artie, Thanks for the info on these carts. Either one will be a huge improvement from my home made model. The tires are great and so is the construction. I will check on the netting. Chris has been very nice and again thanks to you for the hook-up!
Thanks for sharing Denise. I din’t even know these existed.
Thanks Edith, I never knew about them either, that is why I’m passing this on. I am really liking them so far!
Look forward to your review of it. It looks really well designed and functional too!
Thanks Andrew, last night I added some of my gear and I kept flip-flopping back and forth between the two, they are both great!
I have been looking at pictures of these all year trying to make up my mind. I need one to get down gated dirt/sand roads in the swamps and woods carrying 600mm,camera and tripod. I hate to walk all geared up for miles and nothing happens ! Age catching up to me.
Chas, I really like the beach rolly model a little better after using both I can say that they would both be able to do the job. I took one out with me on a hike and it really worked out well. I brought plenty of gear and even a cooler. The tires are great!! Use the code CREATIVE for a 10% discount and free shipping.
Denise,
I like the look of these carts. I have a specific use in mind. Do you think the Beach Rolly model would be able to hold two good sized beach chairs so they could be rolled to our sitting location? Right now we carry them and they get heavy. It looks like I might need the fold out cargo bar as I’m not sure chair would fit between the fabric sides. Thoughts?
Thanks
Ken
Ken, I think the sides might be a problem. I would go with the model with the seat if I were getting it to use for beach chairs.
