I just returned home from a week in Long Island NY. I was visiting Art Morris, the two of us went to Nickerson Beach to photograph a couple of mornings until hurricane Irene sent me packing.

  1. I love them all, but really love the creative versions the best, #3 and #5. Well done, very subtle, yet very effective. Great work. :)

Cynthia, thank you. I appreciate the support!

  2. Denise, love ‘em all. Espescially #2 with the splash behind the skimmer. Take care during the hurricane. Hope you are not affected by it too much.

Andrew, thanks. I like that one too. I have survived the storm and so did my house-woohooo!

Very cool images, Denise. My favorite is the last one. Thanks for introducing me to Jamaica Bay and Nickerson Beach a couple of weeks ago. Your workshop was a lot of fun and having Artie Morris join us was a bonus!

Dave, Thank you for the feedback and it was great seeing you again. I think your images from the trip are terrific. I really enjoyed your use of filters and of course your classic Jamaica Bay image is fantastic! Hope to see you in Bosque again this year!

A nice set of images, Denise, with 2, 3 & 4 my favorites. I hope you’re riding out Irene without problems..stay safe!

John, Thanks so much for the kind words. I am safe and I am happy to report that my family, friends and house are all ok. I did have 4 trees down from the storm with one of them crushing my friend’s truck in my driveway but other than that all is good :)

  5. You worked very hard that morning with good results. I like the three images with effects best of all, esp. the last one (that I had not seen before).

Thanks Artie, I appreciate the kind comments.
