Bags of Apples ~ Delicious Orchards Colts Neck, NJ
I applied a Fractalius effect to the image.
I took a ride to Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck NJ the other day in hopes of photographing some pumpkins. There were pumpkins and gourds but I was delighted to see the bagged apples above. I couldn’t wait to get home and apply some filters to them.

Denise, Isn’t Delicious Orchards a great place – I’ve been going there since I was a kid and try to stop by whenever I’m in the area. Your photos bring back lots of fond memories of the place, and I really like the Fractalius and Pixel Bender effects you applied to the them. Very nice!
Hi Scott, My grandparents use to take us there when we were kids. I have always had a real fondness for the place. I do wish they opened earlier though

OMG Denise…I love each and every shot. They’re amazing. You really have a way with processing an image.
Thanks so much Edith! I appreciate the tweet too.

Wow, Pixel Blender looks fun! Am I right in thinking it is a free download? Your shots are gorgeous, as usual, Denise.
Thank you Andrea, You are right Pixel Bender is a free download. Here is some additional info that I included in a previous blog post: http://deniseippolito.com/2011/07/pixel-bender/

Looks like you were having fun. I really like the apples, gourds, and pumpkins. This makes me want to do some macros of Indian corn to see how they’d look with BuzSim, Fractalius, and PB Oil Paint. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you Dennis, I appreciate the comments. I can’t wait to see your creative Indian Corn images

Simply stunning. You have created some wonderful derivative images here. The pumpkin images in particular have an extraordinary quality about them. It’s time I got the PB plug-in. You’ve inspired me. Thanks

Those gourds in the 2nd shot look like they’ve been electrified
Love that “Oil Painting” filter of the 3rd shot. All very creatively rendered.
