Harvest Time ~ Canon 24-105mm lens with the 5D hand held

I went for a walk downtown this morning with my camera in hand. I set out to capture some fun window art but instead I saw this grapevine pumpkin sitting in a corner on a stoop with ivy growing up the wall behind it. I also liked the two wrought iron railings and the additional vines that were in the scene. I used a texture overlay from Shadowhouse Creations and a touch of Nik Color Efex Glamour Glo to finish the look.

Love the image design, all the texture, the effects, and that pumpkin!
Artie, I am surprised that you like the texture, I know it’s not your thing. Thank you kindly

Everything works very well together. Looks like you chose a texture that was made just for the image. Thumbs up!
Dennis, It’s funny you should mention that about the texture. The minute I saw the small scene I knew I wanted to use that texture and that it would be a perfect compliment to the image. Thank you for the kind comment

Another nice piece of work, Denise! I like the sort of “rusty” look in the corners.
Thanks Mary, I like the rusty corners too.
