I have been asked to post some more images from ESP so here is one that I like. The image is similar to one of my previous posts but it is a good example of how to compose multiple images and views from the same scene. For the image above I chose to include the window and place it in the ROT position so that it would be the main focal point. Having two strong components in one image sometimes confuses the eye. By leaving the window bright my hopes are that it will draw your eye there first. I used Topaz Simplify and a Photoshop zoom blur to help soften the image a bit and create some interest.

Denise, I have been enjoying your photography for quite some time now so I thought I would drop you a line and tell you how much I love this type of photography – almost more composed for the Golden Ratio than Rule of Thirds if you cropped it a tad more .. just beautiful work! The window with the rays of light is stunning and yes, I want that door. Thank you for providing such wonderful food for the eyes on such a regular basis!

Maggie, Welcome to my blog. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for your kind comments, I appreciate them.

Your technique worked very well with drawing the eye into the window. Very dramatic and thought provoking image friend.

So simple but so effective. The rays of light that radiate from that window are beautifully executed and the door (with its shadow) is a great counterpoint. No question – the eye is drawn where you wanted it to be drawn.

Thank you Andy, I appreciate the kind words :)
