I just got back from a couple of days of photographing with Art Morris, a private client, and this afternoon, several workshop clients. We had mixed luck on the jetty as the wind was brutal Friday morning and Saturday afternoon. But on Friday afternoon we lucked out with an adult drake Harlequin and a juvenile male resting on a beautiful algae covered rock. This image is full frame but for a sliver off the bottom. You gotta love nature photography :) .

I will be spending most of January on the jetty. I often take out private clients for just an afternoon shoot. If you are interested in an afternoon shoot at the jetty just send me an email, the cost would be $250.00 for the half day shoot and would be limited to two clients.

  1. Nice quacker! This drake sat for Denise, Kitty, and me on the same rock for four hours. He did turn around once!

Thanks Artie, I was happy to get the open mouth pose!

Great image Denise. The greens of the rock complement the bird very well.

Thank you Peter, Hope the pup is going to be alright.
