This is the sister image that I captured while photographing the Belmar Fishing Pier the other day. This is the sight I saw when I turned to my left. The sky looked amazing and I knew I needed to photograph it. I tried hard to find some kind of interest in the foreground or leading line. I settled for the curve of the sand. I used my 24-105mm lens and my Canon 5D. This is a three image HDR processed in Photomatix Pro (you can save 15% off the purchase price by using the code Birdsasart) and I used Nik Color Efex Glamour Glow (use the code BAA to save 15%). Check out yesterday’s blog post to see the pier.

The curves are yummy…in the sand and in the clouds…gorgeous!

That’s perfect for a cold January day. Simple but very effective composition, nice gentle colours. The foreground, by the way, is just what the sky needed!

Thanks Andy, I appreciate it :)
