Ok, these will be my last pier images for awhile, thank you for your indulgence. I processed the top image with Nik Silver Efex and On One Perfect Effects 3. I liked the textured border and the old time feel it gave the image. Some slight tweaks in Photoshop. For the original capture I chose to shoot this with a slow shutter speed for the water and I purposely over-exposed it slightly for a high key look.

For this image I created a blur effect using Topaz Lens Effect. The conversion was done in Topaz B&W Effects. I then added a border frame in On One Perfect Effects 3. All steps tweaked it in Photoshop. Cropped from the original.

I like the blurred one. Both lead your eye into the image but the blurred one even more so.

Don, thank you very much. Hey I really loved your Cairnwood in the snow images :)

  3. Of course Artie is right, the blurred one is my favorite also. But the whole series was wonderful. You have a very gifted photographic vision. Does my envy show?

Thank you Tommy, I appreciate the kind words. You are very kind. :)

Love both versions Denise. How do you like OnOne Perfect Effects as compared to Topaz? I’ve never tried it but I’m curious about it.

Thanks Edith, I love the Effects and Frames, lots of fun but completely different programs :)

Great images, Denise. I really like them both but tip my hat to the first one. The framing on that one really does it for me.

Thank you Jimi, I appreciate it :)
