I added the Fractalius filter to the Cyclamen image above. I finished it off with a free texture overlay from Shadowhouse Creationsthat I changed the hue of. I wanted a very soft effect. What attracted me to the original capture was the way the petals appear to be swept by the wind and the one petal seems to be clinging onto the stem. To learn more about creative filtering check out one of my my eBooks “A Guide to Creative Filters and Effects”or “Bloomin’ Ideas”.

Which Fractalius as a starting point? Where can folks learn to use all these different filters. BTW, I love the image. And I even love the texture. I rarely say that.
Thank you Art. I am putting together a Fractalius User Guide with all of the settings that I use to create my personal presets. I would love it if you would like to join me in writing this new eBook.
What a beautiful picture! I wish U had your ability to see a picture like that from your original. I don’t think I could even dream of it. You have the ability to use a creative aproach to end up with such a beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing.

Peter, That is very kind of you to say, thank you.
Especially with flowers, you have a wonderful ability to create a visual image of what you see with your heart. Amazing . . .
Peter, That is so very kind of you to say, thank you so much.
Dennis, Thank you so much for the very kind words, they mean a lot!
Interesting effect… this looks more like a painting than a photo.
Thanks, I think so too!
This one is outstanding Denise, I love the airiness of it!
Wow Denise. I love the high key look. Beautiful job!
Thanks Deb and Phillip!
Such beauty in its simplicity. Great job Denise.
Denise, a fabulous fracted blossom. Love the filtering and the texture adds to the image nicely! Fractalius is such a cool plugin and by far my favorite to use.
Wonderful work, Denise! did you turn it upside down?
@denise
I am planning on co-writing the Fractalius Guide with you when I get home. And to finishing the Grunge Guide. Where can folks learn about all your other filters and effects?
Thanks Anita, Thank you kindly. This is how I photographed it.
I already started the Fractalius User Guide. I am on page 20. Thanks for the reminder to put in the link.
