Southwest Florida ~ Peter Kes
Peter Kes is the person responsible for getting me up and running on my blog. He is also the go-to guy when you have a tech. problem. Peter is a moderator on BPN and he builds websites and blogs as well as being an accomplished photographer. His recent blog post deals with platform issues that folks using a Mac are encountering when trying to run windows only programs. In his blog post he offers some great solutions. Also check out his previous post regarding the new Canon camera and his thoughts regarding that. In the image above Peter was catching small bait fish with a net at Placido Pier while on Art Morris’ IPT (Instructional Photo Tour). I couldn’t help but see the boyish look in his eyes and wanted to capture that look.

Venice Rookery ~ Cormorant Silhouette
While photographing at the Venice Rookery during Artie’s IPT I noticed this Cormorant on a tree. It was resting and drying it’s wings till a Red-winged Blackbird perched on a neihboring tree. The scene was backlit and the lighting was a little harsh so I decided to go for a silhoutte.
