No, just some really cute Snowy Plovers! I was out at Sanibel Beach yesterday photographing with Arthur Morris. We saw at least 6 Snowy Plovers, only one had been banded. Hopefully we will get back there with the group for the Southwest Floida IPT. I have been in love with plovers for so long, the Snowy Plover is one of my favorites.

Denise… Tooooo sweet… Love your shots…
You have the enviable ability to “see” and capture the special essence that brings your subjects into our hearts…
You certainly did it here with these little guys…
Can’t wait to see them next week…
with gratitude and appreciation, Deirdre
You do
What wonderful little birds. Love your captures. Jim
I understand why you love these little guys!
Love the wing stretch and the feather preening image especially. Folks are invited to my blog post on that same afternoon, “Baptism Under Fire” here: http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/2013/02/14/the-canon-600ii-the-2x-iii-tc-the-canon-eos-1d-x-baptism-under-fire-2/
Learn how $20K worth of gear got buried in the sand and how I cleaned up the mess. We sure had fun though.
All beautiful images, Denise. Most of all the wing stretch. Plovers are absolutely adorable.
Hi Deirdre, you are too kind. It was great to see you again, I am looking forward to the IPT- see you soon
Hi Jim, thank you so much!
Hi Nancy, thanks so much-see you in a couple of weeks at Lonaconing!
Thanks Artie, it was a really fun day!
Hi Faraaz,
Nice to hear from you. I haven’t finished processing my images from Barnegat yet. I had so much fun photographing these Snowy Plovers-they are so darn cute!
So sweet. Wonderful images Denise.
