More Top 250 Nanpa Awards

Ann Gillis attended both my Dalmatian Pelican tour in Greece (same trip as Janice Rosner from my previous post) and my Patagonia trip. On both trips she managed to get in Nanpa’s Showcase with two top 250 awards. Huge congratulations Ann! Both images are spectacular. But that puma shot-swwweeettt!!

In Ann’s words:

Pelicans: Lake Kerkini in Greece is one of those special places where Dalmatian Pelicans abound. While there, we had several early morning light opportunities where the lake was like a mirror, and we were able to obtain clear reflections of the pelicans coming in to land on the water.

Pumas: As a veterinarian, I am always fascinated by the similarities between the large cats (cheetahs, lions, leopards, pumas) and their domesticated counterparts. This is such a classic universal behavior of the cub rubbing underneath the chin of the mother.

U.S. Postal Service Reveals Stamps for 2023

Tulip Blossoms
Close-up photographs of 10 beautiful tulips in a rainbow of colors grace this new booklet of 20 stamps. One blossom fills almost the entire frame of each stamp, with just the top of a stem peeking out from underneath. Since Dutch immigrants brought tulip bulbs to North America hundreds of years ago, the flower has become a dazzling part of our landscape. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps with existing photographs by Denise Ippolito.
