I posted this image on Facebook and have received several messages asking for the how-to. Well, I already wrote that book <wink> but to help others along…. I used my Sony A1 camera (it does not have an in-camera multiple exposure feature) to photograph the image above-well, kind of/sort of. I captured several images of these beautiful birds and decided while I was photographing them that I would create a multiple exposure. Planning ahead was key…or was it. I ended up only using a single shot to create the multiple exposure effect for the image above. I cover this technique and more in my “Guide to Creative Blurs” available only through A Creative Adventure. in the section that refers to: Photoshop Stacked Layer Blurs. In that section I share ways to create motion blurs/multiple exposure effects to a single image.
It is really quite simple, just duplicate a few layers, move them around, adjust your opacity…get creative and have fun. Hope this gets you started. Tag me on your Facebook posts if you do one.
